My dearest,

We are brushing our teeth. Usually I’m the one who squeezes the toothpaste onto our toothbrushes but tonight you get to the bathroom first. We look at each other in the mirror. I make a face at you. You make a face back. The face-making escalates till we start laughing, which is kinda awful-and-difficult because we have toothpaste-foam all over our mouths. We never learn.

Yours, ever and always.
