LOVE FOR BEGINNERS // 情書

My dearest,

We are at the airport again. Another getaway. Check-in is a breeze because I always insist on arriving early. Only problem is this usually means we have to eat at the airport and airport fare, well, you know.

I let you decide. Maybe you’ll have better luck than me. Certainly you can’t do worse. You opt for wild mushroom soup. Hardly a safe choice as most mushroom soups we have had outside we are hardly wild about.

But I trust you.

(And if the soup turns out to be awful – I’m prepared for the worst – its only one meal. I get to share it with you and that’s what is important.

The mushroom soup tastes quite decent, as it turns out. Nothing to shout about but nothing to sneeze at either.

I’m glad I trusted you. Come to think of it, I always am.

Yours, ever and always.
