LOVE FOR BEGINNERS // 情書

My dearest,

We have no idea what we are gonna have for dinner. It’s like that some nights. (Most nights, really.)

I suggest ramen, something we haven’t had since returning from Japan. (Oh! nothing ever tastes as good as it did in Japan! you’d bemoan.) While waiting, you rant about work. I smile and nod.

After dinner, I suggest ice-cream and you light up. Peanut butter chocolate and almond fudge. Your favourite. Every spoonful is a reminder that some evenings are best spent with the ones you love, eating comfort food and swapping stories.

Did I say some evenings? I mean every evening, every night, every day.

Yours, ever and always.
