My dearest,

Let’s talk it out.

No, we aren’t having a disagreement. But I have something that is troubling me and it helps having someone to talk to. And there’s no one I rather talk to more than you.

You make sense of all that is chaos and incomprehensible. You remind me of the silver lining, of how good we have it now, especially compared to how tough things were before.

You remind me that we are in this together. Not just for the moment or when things are going well but for the long haul and everything that that entails.

Problems don’t go away or solve themselves. But when I share mine with you, their level of difficulty diminishes, the challenge proves surmountable, and soon I, too, can see their silver lining.

There will always be clouds. You remind me that they always come with silver linings.

There will always be a way. We will find a way.

You are my silver lining. I promise – I vow – that I shall be yours too.
