LOVE FOR BEGINNERS // 情書

My dearest,


We are having breakfast at Baker Gonna Bake: Americanos for both of us, a buttery croissant for me (and a pain au chocolat once I’m done with the croissant), and a Thai style spaghetti aglio olio with crispy bacon and wilted krapao leaves for you.

It’s a perfect way to start our weekend.

I watched our favourite barista, who has permed her hair, walk out to the Thai Buddhist altar outside the café with joss sticks and a takeaway cup of coffee.

Of course I had to ask her, curious if the Buddha prefers a flat white. (It was an Americano.)

Good choice, I tell you, nodding at our cupppas. You roll your eyes, as you are wont to do.

This is but one of the many, many reasons why I love you.
