My dearest,
You asked me whether we use a singular or plural verb with the word “people” and then we continued from there. An impromptu English lesson.
That was this morning.
And it made me very happy that there is something I can help you with, that there are useful things I can share with you. For I have learned so much from you all these years, that sometimes I forget that you might learn something from me too.
But the best things, I find, are not what I teach you or what you teach me, but what we learn together, exploring and asking and observing and simply living.
And loving each other. There’s always that. Let’s never forget that.
Yours, ever and always.
