My dearest,
I send you a picture of what I’m having after my dinner: a bowl of overnight oats (only rolled oats and chia seeds this time; I’ve run out of steel cut oats), thickened with coconut flour and chocolate whey protein powder. A dash of ground cinnamon, a generous sprinkle of goji berries and a spoonful of chocolate hazelnut spread.
It’s delicious.
Soon you send me a picture of your dessert, or desserts to be precise: the first, a bowl of snow fungus and ginkgo, boiled in the nectar of golden Buddha fruit; the other a bowl of mango and mangosteen, Greek yoghurt and raspberry pandan compote.
Those look delicious too.
How sweet are our lives, with a dessert to complete almost every meal, the way our conversations complete our day.
