My dearest,
You peer over the edge. It seems bottomless.
Rummaging through your pant pockets, you managed to find a coin. You hold in your hand, close your eyes and make a wish. Then a toss and a flip and the coin disappears down into the depths of the well.
You pray your wish comes true.
I look at you and I can’t help but smile. My wish had come true some time ago and, of course, it’s you.
Yours, ever and always.
