My dearest,
Oh how you love your cosmos.
Daisy like, they bloom finally after weeks of waiting. Pink, white and violet. Petals that curl, bowl shaped, or flatten out like a map. Their golden hearts offer pollen for bees and butterflies.
Oh, my dearest, how you love your cosmos.
First one plant, now many. Soon our fence will be guarded by a battalion of these cosmos – a field of flowers, a galaxy of petals. A cosmos of cosmos.
A universe of beauty in our little garden. Where I can find you taking photographs of your little beauties. Where I can photograph you photographing your precious cosmos.
They are as precious to you as you are to me.
Oh how you love your cosmos. Oh how I love you.
Yours, ever and always.
