LOVE FOR BEGINNERS // 情書

My dearest,

The years pass by so fast. Do we let them pass us by? We are now forty, now fifty, now older still. What do we look like? How do we live? Dare we take stock of our life and the things we’ve done (and not done) by then? By now?

I don’t know. Courage in the future tense is no real courage at all. All we know is now. It’s all we have.

We are in our thirties. That’s real. That’s right now. Let us take stock. We know what we look like at this very moment, how we live, how we love, how we greet each new day like it’s a gift, a surprise.

This is our present. This we shall experience in the full, this we shall never allow to simply pass us by.

Yours, ever and always.
