LOVE FOR BEGINNERS // 情書

August 14, 2012

My dearest,

The heat beats down. Even the mornings are warm. There’s no need to wait till the afternoon. Glass after glass of iced water barely help. Days (heck, weeks) like these I envy those in colder climes.

“My dear,” I say, “you know what would be really romantic?”

“What?” you ask.

“Another air-conditioner in the house or two.”

“…”

“Cheaper than a trip to Alaska, don’t you agree?”

You hesitate, as you absorb the sense of my suggestion (as always), before replying, “Let’s get the air-conditioners.”

Who said romance is dead?

Yours, ever and always.
