My dearest,

On weekday mornings, while you shower, I cut slices of lemon and lime. Toss them into your thermos flask so you may have citrus-flavoured water at the office.

In the evenings, after we have made dinner and dessert and washed up, I’ll pour the warm lemon and lime scented water into a mug. I’ll add apple cider vinegar and raw honey, stir it all up for you. The wooden spoon I use will still have specks of matcha powder from what we added to our dessert of Greek yoghurt and fruits.

I’ll throw the spent wedges of lemon and lime away, and take the rubbish to the garbage room because you’re afraid of walking there alone. And the next day, we repeat this all over again.

There is no better reward than sharing a routine.

Yours, ever and always.
