My dearest,
Today I’ll be heading back to my hometown so you will have to drive to work on your own. I get to sleep in for a little longer.
Still I get up when the alarm clock goes off because that’s what I do. I squeeze toothpaste onto our toothbrushes. We take turns doing this every morning, depending who gets up first. After brushing our teeth, you go take a shower and get ready. I sneak back into bed, stealing a little more sleep.
I wake up again, later, with the memory of your kiss on my lips before you leave for work.
Yours, ever and always.
