My dearest,

We’ve been having problems with our new washing machine. The water either flows out before the laundry container is full or it doesn’t drain at all. Small things like this little flaw can cause trouble and stress for days and days.

Which is why, when I finally figured out how to fix it today, the relief and sense of accomplishment was so great. To be sure, it’s a simple thing (well, for a plumber or technician, perhaps) but there’s nothing like holding freshly laundered clothes, clean and smelling nice, in your hands and knowing this is by your own hands (well, the hands that fixed the washing machine which did the actual washing, that is).

Hooray!

Yours, ever and always.
