LOVE FOR BEGINNERS // 情書

May 29, 2012

My dearest,

“Now, remember — we’ve only got three things to buy, nothing more,” you say.

“Yup. We must stick to our list,” I say.

We are determined not to veer from our path. We know exactly what we want and we’ll get just those and we’ll pay for them and we’ll leave.

“Oh look,” you say, “this is a nice white plate. It’ll look better when I photograph food than the dishes we have.”

“Hey, look at this box,” I say, “it’s exactly the right size for me to put my comic books.”

An hour or so later, we leave the store. Arms heavier, wallet lighter. Again.

Yours, ever and always.
