LOVE FOR BEGINNERS // 情書

My dearest,

Dinner was a success. You tell me I cooked a good meal. I beam. Time for washing the dishes. You insist on doing it. I say okay but I offer to dry the clean dishes.

And so we get behind the kitchen sink, a two-person conveyor belt. Rinse, soap, scrub, rinse, dry, shelve. All the while we are talking and recounting the day you had and mine.

I could do this for the rest of our lives, I could.

Yours, ever and always.
