My dearest,

You’re making us a curry for dinner. A chicken and potato curry. Sounds awesome.

Only you’ve never cooked a curry before. You kept asking me for advice, what the steps were, which ingredient goes in first. It’s adorable.

I tell you a curry is the easiest – you can’t screw it up since there are tons of types of curries.

If it doesn’t turn out the way you want it, you didn’t fail. You simply succeeded at making a different curry, is all.

You nod, likely appreciating my pearl of wisdom. Then you ask me again, So which goes in first: the chicken or the potatoes?

Oh you.

Yours, ever and always.
