LOVE FOR BEGINNERS // 情書

April 30, 2020

My dearest,

Our quarantine is over and it is not. We have left the hotel where we have stayed inside our own solitary rooms for half a month. We’ve been given the all clear. We are healthy; we were never anything less than healthy. What a relief, what a graceful thing to hear.

We are home now and our quarantine continues. We have more than four walls to protect us and we have each other. Once more can we sleep together, body pressed against body, hand in hand, breath flowing with breath, moving together even as we stay in place.

We stay in place and it’s the best sort of journey, the sort we promise to take our lives to complete.

Yours, ever and always.
